Tidying Up

I recently discovered a certain show about tidying up that shall remain nameless for the sake of not wanting to sound like a promoter or sponsor, and like any good Netflix series, I binge watched, fascinated. Rapt with attention, and amazed by the changes that took place.

From my couch, I was amazed and in awe.

Ignoring my deadlines and projects, I was fascinated.

Surrounded by my own clutter, mess, and madness, I was drawn in.

Do you see the irony and the problem?

I was watching, but I wasn't learning. I was seeing, but I wasn't observing.

And that seemed a little bit ridiculous.

So I have decided to tidy up myself. My current place of living doesn't leave me much to work with, but an upcoming change will adjust that for me and give me ample opportunity to explore my new tidy tendencies. I am going to tidy up my daily schedule, tidy up my style of living, tidy up my writing projects, and tidy up my style of working on them.

Now, I did say tidy, I did not say overhaul. I don't expect any miracles, and I am well aware that it will take some time for habits and patterns to form. But realizing that something has to change is always the first step, and I believe in taking advantage of the motivation when it comes.

We'll see what happens. I'm hoping for some serious stress relief, if nothing else!

Will you join me in a TidyFest? What will you tidy up?

Or, if you're already the tidy sort, do you have any tips?

Heaven knows, I'll need them!
